Background
ADM approached us to reimagine their annual report. Our task was to encapsulate their remarkable journey in empowering women through Kingdom work, ensuring that the essence of their mission was eloquently and visually communicated.
The brief from ADM was both a challenge and an opportunity to revitalise its annual report, giving it a fresh perspective while honouring its established brand identity. We aimed to breathe new life into the report, transforming it from a mere data collection to a compelling narrative. This required a delicate balance of respecting their traditional plant motifs and colour scheme while infusing them with modernity and freshness. We were tasked to offer services – from creative conceptualisation, graphic design, and print management to photomanipulation and brand management. Our goal was to present a report that was not just informative but also visually captivating and representative of ADM’s impactful work.
Challenges
Our primary challenge lay in maintaining ADM’s brand integrity while infusing a contemporary flair. We had to ensure that the new design elements complemented the existing brand ethos without overpowering it. This delicate balancing act was crucial in respecting ADM’s rich history and the significance of their work, while also showcasing our expertise in innovative design.

Colour palette
The colour palette was our initial focus. We subtly shifted the hues to brighter, uplifting tones, maintaining brand recognition while injecting a sense of positivity and vibrancy. This change was not merely aesthetic; it symbolised the renewed energy and optimism in ADM’s mission.
Designing the written content
Next, we tackled the challenge of presenting information in a way that was concise yet impactful. We employed elegant graphic design techniques, creating custom iconography to encapsulate key data points. This approach not only made the information more accessible but also added a visual interest that drew readers into the narrative.
Selecting and retouching images
The photomanipulation aspect was particularly crucial. We chose images that resonated with the ethos of ADM, ensuring that each photograph was not just a visual element but a story. These images were carefully edited to align with the brightened colour palette, creating a cohesive visual experience throughout the report.
Brand direction
Brand management was an ongoing process throughout this project. We ensured that every element, from typography to layout, adhered to ADM’s brand guidelines while pushing the boundaries of creativity. The plant motifs, a signature element of ADM’s brand, were reimagined. We used these motifs not just as decorative elements but as integral parts of the narrative, weaving them through the report to symbolise growth, nurturing, and flourishing.
Outcome
The final product was a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary design elements, a report that told the story of ADM’s work in a visually stunning and engaging manner. It was a celebration of their achievements, a testament to the women who flourish through their ministries, and a reflection of our commitment to excellence in design.
We successfully delivered a product that was not just a report, but a narrative artwork. It showcased ADM’s remarkable journey and impact in a format that was both informative and visually compelling. Our innovative approach to design and brand management was instrumental in creating a report that resonated with ADM’s philosophy and left a lasting impression on its readers. This project is a proud example of our ability to blend creativity with functionality, bringing stories to life through design.
